About the Yarbun Creations
From Yarbun Creations:
Yarbun Creations is a 100% owned Aboriginal family company with a passion for sharing Aboriginal culture. We are descendants of the Yuwi and Ghungalu people.
We run Cultural Awareness Training Sessions and consultation with teachers on embedding Aboriginal knowledge in classrooms. We can host aboriginal cultural information sessions on a range of different subjects: Kindy programs and school programs that include talks and workshops such as artefacts search, bush foods, bush medicines, native trees, hunting and gathering, and much more. We also run interactive workshops for events, covering bush medicine, ochre crushing, along with a variety of Aboriginal culture talks. We can also give advice and information on native trees and gardens consultation.
We craft and sell a range of First Nations body products, skin moisturiser, soaps, muscle balms and liniments and Gumbi Gumbi capsules, based on First Nations medicinal knowledge. We also sell ochre and authentic wooden artefact clap sticks, nulla nulla, coolamons, bull roarers, boomerangs and yam sticks. We use traditional practices when collecting the wood, and all artefacts are handmade.
